Signatures Without Cursive

Since the removal of cursive writing from school curricula across Ontario, there has been a trend about signatures. Many students print their names as opposed to "signing" them.

The purpose of a signature is to identify yourself on a document without the ability for someone else to mimic it. Printing your name makes it much easier to mimic your identity.

One way to solve this issue is to use a fingerprint-scanning system for E-Documents. As far-fetched as this seems, it is fairly close to reality as companies will soon invest in this to protect their clients from fraud.

Now this scanning system won't be cheap so until we find a better solution we will continue to teach cursive to our students.
